Serial entrepreneur and founder of Q1 Scientific, Louise Grubb is passionate about creating a positive impression of Waterford as a living and working environment. To nurture a culture of creativity, Q1 Scientific are sponsoring new theatre production ’How To Fall Flat On Your Face’ developed by a team of young Waterford creatives. This is a play about falling flat on your face (literally) and finding the ability within to rebuild.
‘How To Fall Flat On Your Face’ launching on International Women’s Day
With an exceptional creative team, this new play opens on International Women’s Day, March 8th and explores mental health and body image through an innovative storytelling style.
Every year on International Women’s Day across the world we celebrate the positive value women bring to the world, their families and communities. With new one-woman play ‘How To Fall Flat On Your Face’ launching on International Women’s Day it was a good opportunity to shine a light on Waterford women in business and the arts.
The audience are in the centre of the action by sitting in the waiting area with Anna. Her extreme way of thinking and detailed imagery of day-to-day life is recognisable and humorous, drawing the audience into her mind’s workings, leaving you think about the lengths we all go to achieve perfection.
Waterford actor and theatre maker Katie Honan has dedicated the past eighteen months to writing and developing her new one-woman play ‘How To Fall Flat On Your Face’:
“How To Fall Flat On Your Face is a story about healing; how to heal from a broken face, how to heal from a broken heart, how to heal from the inside out”
This unique theatrical experience is produced by a team of exceptional Waterford artists passionate about creating theatre for a local audience.
Why we support the local community?
The economic impact of the arts is well documented. By supporting local arts and helping to advance them we hope to cultivate a vibrant cultural amenity for Waterford residents and visitors.
This play sponsorship follows on from our charity donations last year to the WLR Christmas Appeal in aid of St. Vincent de Paul, Waterford and Down Syndrome Ireland, Waterford and South Kilkenny branch. Through supporting the community in which we live and work we hope to make a positive difference to the lives of others.
